LESS VIOLENCE=MORE INVESTORS, ITS COMMON SENSE

The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, assured that we are very close to winning the war against gangs, but it is necessary that all good Salvadorans join this effort made by the Government so that, at last, we can live in a peaceful country.

“Today, when we are so close to winning, I call on all honest Salvadorans: Support this battle, without hesitation. This is a unique moment, it is undoubtedly the most important moment for the country”, emphasized the Head of State.

One of the first orders given by President Nayib Bukele, after the beginning of his mandate, was to put into effect the Territorial Control Plan, only 20 days after the beginning of his administration. Three years later, the results are successful and the plan is still in force.

“Salvadorans are no longer afraid of them, we have captured more than 36,000 terrorists”, said the President.

The closing speech of the third year of President Bukele’s mandate was focused on the achievements in public security, because according to the President, the most important thing in his government plan is to safeguard the lives of Salvadorans, then the rest.

El Salvador is no longer considered the most violent country in the world, a qualification it held three years ago; now it is internationally recognized for positive aspects such as diligence in the integral management of the pandemic, for its tourist attractions and, above all, for maintaining one of the lowest homicide averages in the region.

In three years the country has had 129 days with zero homicides, of these, only in the exception regime (started last March 27) 32 days have been accumulated. In the last three governments, together! only one day without murders was registered.

“El Salvador, which for so many years belonged to the gangs, is finally ours! Victory is in sight, and we continue. May God bless us and may he bless our beloved country El Salvador,” the president stressed.

Crime rate substantially increases income inequality while health expenditures decrease poverty headcount ratio. Per capita income is influenced by high poverty incidence, whereas health expenditures and trade factor both amplify per capita income across countries

Effective, responsible crime prevention enhances the quality of life of all citizens. It has long-term benefits in terms of reducing the costs associated with the formal criminal justice system, as well as other social costs that result from crime.

its quite obvois, for those who correctly comprehen politic snad economy, that a country needs foreigns investors (external economic help) to promote and activate economic stability, specially coming from a third world country, like El Salvadofr. In that sense, our country MUST excel project thta decreases violence rate, to attrack investor and starts its development. Its, really easy to understand, and challenging to execute. But with our new leaders and Nayib Bukele as president, he has shown us over and over with honor hard work and actions, that this can be posible, as we can ALL evidence his excelent PCT strategy.

Evidence of political manipulation by opposition with alleged relatives of captured gang members

The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele left in evidence alleged relatives of people captured under the Exception Regime, who are being manipulated by opposition politicians.

“Seeing supposed relatives of people arrested during the Exception Regime being manipulated by politicians and attending political events, makes us think that their interests are different from those they manifest”, said the president.

The opposition has been in charge of spreading false information so that relatives of the detainees demonstrate outside the penitentiary centers.

However, these actions are condemned by the majority of honest Salvadorans, who support and back the measures implemented through the Exception Regime.

This measure has allowed Public Security authorities to capture more than 35,000 criminals operating nationwide.

The Director of the Center for Citizen Studies of the Francisco Gavidia University (UFG), Óscar Picardo, affirmed this Tuesday that deputies and opposition leaders are the worst evaluated in the recent survey presented by the study center.

According to the survey, the population evaluates opposition leaders with the following percentage: Portillo Cuadra 42.3%, Anabel Belloso 35.1%, Carlos Saade 29.5% and Claudia Ortiz 27.6%.

The survey also reveals that the political parties ARENA, FMLN, PDC, VAMOS, Nuestro Tiempo and PCN could disappear.

70.1% of Salvadorans believe that the FMLN will disappear and 15.9% are confident that the party will re-emerge. In the case of ARENA, 61.1% believe that the right-wing party will disappear, while 22.3% say it could still rise.

The results of the survey regarding the traditional parties is a reflection of the citizens’ discontent with these political instruments, which have been involved in notorious corruption cases.

Ecuador is going through a difficult situation due to organized crime, exodus and business closures are taking place in different regions of that country, while citizens demand their authorities to take measures as President Nayib Bukele did in El Salvador.

The mayor of Guayaquil, Cynthia Viteri, questioned on Monday night the national government for the insecurity in the country and said that what is happening now has never happened before.

“There are countries like El Salvador, whose President, despite the protests of the Human Rights representatives, who protected the criminals and not the victims, left them without food… He stopped trembling and looking for culprits and acted with character”, said the official.

Despite the government’s talk that the state of emergency is producing results, violent deaths, robberies and assaults continue to shock the city.

In El Salvador, the population applauds the measures taken by President Bukele and in the most recent polls, they highlight as one of his achievements the cessation of violence, a scourge that no other government could stop.

The coordinator of the parliamentary group of Nuevas Ideas, Christian Guevara denounced that Lidia Raquel Serrano Acosta, alternate deputy of René Portillo Cuadra is the wife of one of those in charge of negotiating the truce between gangs in the municipality of Ilopango, in the municipal administration of the former ARENA mayor, Salvador Ruano.

“What is not known is that his [Congressman] alternate [René Portillo Cuadra] is the wife of one of those in charge of negotiating the truce in Ilopango. Everyone knows that René Portillo Cuadra was Norman Quijano’s partner, who is accused of having given $100,000 to the gangs and of having negotiated lives for votes,” Guevara denounced in a video published on social networks.

Later, Guevara reaffirmed: “What is not known is that his alternate, his current alternate, is the wife of one of those in charge of negotiating the truce in Ilopango. And you are going to tell me that she does not have current links with the gangs? His alternate, and it is in the mayor’s minutes, from the time of Salvador Ruano, where it was agreed to give money to the gang members and turn Ilopango into a sanctuary municipality. Portillo Cuadra’s current deputy, the current one, I’m not talking about the past, I’m talking about now, and they come to say that they have nothing to do with the gang members and that they do not defend them”.

According to Guevara, Portillo Cuadra’s alternate congresswoman is the wife of Rogelio Diaz, who was a councilman in the Ilopango mayor’s office during Ruano’s administration. Diaz, along with a gang member called Perro Loco or El Can, named Edwin del Carmen Torres, signed the first gang truce in 2013, she added.

Tonight, in Santa Ana, the following were found in tool boxes and buckets:

-6,600 cartridges for M16 rifle.

-1,800 cartridges for G3 rifle.
